What happens to the volume of water when it freezes?

it increases my friend. when water freezes it expands that why if you put a water bottle in the freezer for a while then take it out and open the cap the water is at the top of the bottle instead of its regular level

Freezing water causes the volume to expand. Putting 9 milliliters of water through the freezing process leads to a volume of approximately 9.1 milliliters of ice. It's not a huge expansion but it does expand.
