y-intercept is when x = 0  or the b-value when in the form y = mx + b

-10x - [tex]\frac{1}{2}y[/tex] = 5

-10(0) - [tex]\frac{1}{2}y[/tex] = 5

      [tex]\frac{-1}{2}y[/tex] = 5

[tex]-2(\frac{-1}{2}y)[/tex] = -2(5)

 y = -10

Answer: (0, -10)

-10x - [tex]\frac{1}{2}y[/tex] = 5

+10x        +10x

[tex]\frac{-1}{2}y[/tex] = 10x + 5

[tex]-2(\frac{-1}{2}y)[/tex] = -2(10x + 5)

y = -20x - 10

              b = -10
