8n - 4n = 4n and 30 - 6 = 24 and 24/4n = 6 so n=6

Subtract 6 from  both sides:

[tex]8n+6-6=4n+30-6[/tex]

[tex]8n = 4n+24[/tex]

Subtract 4 n from both sides:

[tex]8n-4n=4n+24-4n[/tex]

[tex]4n=24[/tex]

Divide both sides by 4 :

[tex] \frac{4n}{4} = \frac{24}{4} [/tex]

[tex]n = 6[/tex]
