x=14  and y=109

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

y= 5x +39

y= 3.5x +60

5x+39 = 3.5 x+60

5x-3.5x = 60-39

1.5x =21

x= 21/1.5 = 14

Use the value of x = 14 in equation  y=5x+39

y=5*14 +39

y=109

Hence, x=14  and y=109
