You must add like terms. So the problem is 3x+2=4x=5.
1) Move 3x to the right along with 4x+5, the 3x will become negative because every time you switch places like that they change from + to - or vice versa.
2) Move 5 to the left where 2 is, now the 5 will become negative.
3) Add like terms and the answer should be x=-3 if you got -3=x that's fine juts flip it.
