For this question we are given:

T2 = 11.4 degrees celsius

V1 = 14.8 cm3

V2=19.9 cm3

We want to know T1. So we need to use Charles Law:

[tex]\frac{V_1}{T_1}=\frac{V_2}{T_2}[/tex]

Now if we re-arrange:

[tex]T_1=\frac{T_2V_1}{V_2}[/tex]

So T1 = (11.4 x14.8)/19.9

T1 = 8.48 degrees celsius
