Given

[tex]\frac{7^8}{7^5}[/tex]

When you divide two exponents with the same base number, to simplify the expression you have to calculate the difference between the index from the numberator and the index from the denominator.

In this case the base number is "7"

The index of the numerator is "8"

The index of the denominator is "5"

You can simplify the expression as follows

[tex]\frac{7^8}{7^5}=7^{8-5}=7^3[/tex]

The solution is

[tex]7^3[/tex]
