Supplementary angles are angles that add up to 180 degrees. Since the acute angle is less than 90 degrees, the other angle must be greater than 90 degrees (obtuse angle) for it to add up to 180or for it to be supplementary

I hope this helped :) (if so give brainliest please!!)

supplementary angles add up to equal 180 degrees. So if one supplementary angle is less than 90 degree the other must be greater.
