A scientific theory is when something has been inferred and proven, but still could be proven false. There could be something to prove it wrong.

A scientific law is something that is set in stone. Nothing could change it, it is a 100% accurate way of describing or explaining something in our world. For instance, gravity.

I hope this helps!
