In nuclear reaction, like nuclear fission or nuclear fusion, matter conversion takes place.
This means that the reactants of the equation form new elements as products and a huge amount of energy is released.

Based on this, nuclear reaction are the type of reactions in which the reactant might weigh more than the product.
