An ex-vaudeville actor who invents humorous situations is called a scenarist.
The scenarist is also called a screenplay writer or screenwriter.
He/she writes screenplays and on the screenplays films, television programs, comics or video games, are based. The screenwriters use ideas to write scripts. The goal is to produce these scripts.
