When subtracted, what is the simplified form of (7 − 3i) − (8 + 5i)? write the answer in standard form, a + bi, where a and b are real numbers. 1 + 2i 2 − 8i −1 + 2i2 −1 − 8i?

Firstly, foil -(8 + 5i) (treat the minus sign as -1): [tex] 7-3i-8-5i [/tex]

Next, combine like terms and your answer will be -1 - 8i
