The length of a rectangle is 5 less than twice its width

l = 2w - 5

perimeter is 26 meters

l + w + l + w = 26

2l + 2w = 26

2w = 26 - 2l

l = 2w - 5

l = 26 - 2l - 5

3l = 21

l = 7

w = 13 - l = 13 - 7 = 6

Answer: length 7 meters, width 6 meters
