4x + 5y = 2(x + 3y)

4x + 5y = 2x + 6y   distributed 2 on the right side

2x + 5y = 6y           subtracted 2x from both sides

2x = y                      subtracted 5y from both sides

         if y = 2x

then 17(y) = 17(2x)

          17y = 34x

Answer: 34x
