What is a meter? Give two examples of objects that are a meter in length

Straight from the dictionary:

Meter: the fundamental unit of length in the metric system, equal to 100 centimetres or approximately 39.37 inches.

As for your examples of meter-long objects, I'd say a meter stick or an average countertop (lol).
