The center of a soccer field has an area of 100[tex] \pi [/tex]m squared. Find the circumference of the center circle.

The formula for the area of a circle is A=πr². To find the circumference, we must find the radius, r. To do this, we plug in the area for A in the first formula, then plug it in to the circumference formula:
[tex]100 \pi = \pi r^{2} \\ \frac{100 \pi }{ \pi } = \frac{ \pi r^{2} }{ \pi } \\ 100= r^{2} \\ \sqrt{100}= \sqrt{r^{2} } \\ r=10m [/tex]

Now we know that r=10 meters. Now we plug this into the circumference formula, C=2πr.
[tex]C=2 \pi 10 \\ C=20 \pi [/tex]

The answer is 20π meters.
