[tex]h=\frac{-b}{2a}[/tex]

[tex]k=f(h)[/tex]

[tex]h=\frac{6}{2}[/tex]

[tex]h=3[/tex]

[tex]k=f(3)[/tex]

[tex]f(3)=9-18+1[/tex]

[tex]f(3)=-8[/tex]

The vertex is [tex](3,-8)[/tex]

Hope this helps.
