I solved it by doing the problem backwards. First adding 4 and 1 to get 5 then subtracting that from 83 to get 78. The I added 4 and 2 (the 2 numbers next to x) to get 6. Once I got 6 I divided 78 and 6 to get 13. If you plug it in the equation should work.
