Your looking for the lines where X is essential than -1 so fond the point -1 and graph only the values of X that are -1 or less. less than gets an open circle,


now look where X is greater than or equal to -1, -X only there X is greater than or equal to -1, this one gets a filled in circle because it's greater than or equal to.
