Raju is twice as old as Paul.
Kai is 6 years younger than Raju.

Let Paul’s age = x years
Raju’s age = 2x
To get Kai’s age, We have to subtract 6 from 2x as Kai is 6 years younger than Raju
Kai’s age = 2x -6
Sum of their ages = 29
x + 2x + 2x- 6 = 29
5x - 6 = 29

Add 6 to both sides
5x = 29 + 6
5x = 35
Dived both sides by 5
x = 35/5
x = 7
Paul’s age = 7 years
Raju’s age = 2*7
= 14 years
Kai’s age = 14 - 6
= 8 years
