Cellulose is found in plant cell wall and is responsible for making it tough and rigid. Hence plant cell wall protects the internal components of cell and also prevents its bursting if there is excessive water intake.

When the stain for cellulose will be applied to celery stem section, it will be taken up by cells and eventually get deposited in cell wall since it contains cellulose so the colour will be visible in cell wall.
