How long would it take for the bacteria population to increase from 500 to 1,000 bacteria?

i think 499 is going to be the answer

It would take 2 hours for bacteria to grow to 1,000 because we know that bacteria divides every 30 mins so it wouldn't take long for 500 to go higher with in a couple of hours.
