First, you distribute both sides.
8x-8=18x+12
Then get all the x's on one side and the numbers on the other
-12-8=18x-8x
-20=10x
Then divide to get x alone
x=-2

Hope that helps!

4(2x - 2) = 6(3x + 2)

Apply the distributive property here, which tells:
a(b + c) = ab + ac

So, 8x - 8 = 18x + 12
18x - 8x = -8 - 12
10x = -20
x = -20/10
x = -2

In short, Your Answer would be: -2

Hope this helps!
