Set The Numbers On The Side Equal To The Equation. Use Inverse Operation And Divide Since The X Is Used In Multiplication.

ok so since x is the unkown variable we would need to isolate the variable. That means do the opposite operation. So we divide 2 by 2 because thats the coefficient. Then what you do is do the same thing on the other side,divide 1 by 2 to get your answer. your answer would be x=whatever your answer is.
