To solve:
Substitute 2 for x in both rules and set results equal to each other.
[tex]2(2)^2=2+k[/tex]

Solve the equation.
[tex]2(4)=2+k [/tex]
[tex]8=2+k[/tex]
[tex]6=k[/tex]
