Sodium-potassium pump is found on a membrane that allow the movement of sodium and potassium ions across the membrane. This is an example of active transport that involves hydrolysis of ATP. With the help of this pump the potassium ions are pumped inside while the sodium ions are pumped outside the cell. This results in maintenance of equilibrium state of sodium and potassium ions.
