In the poem "The Soul Selects Her Own Society" the words pausing/kneeling and gate/mat slat rhymes because of Identical final consonants. This means that in the words pausing and kneeling they end with the g sound making them rhyme, for gate and mat, while gate has an e at the end, it is the T that makes the final sound making it a rhyme for mat.
